C-0409.1 Eastern Region Local Government Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Forum – Terms of Reference (A02/0448)
Report dated 27 August 2004 from the Director, Library and Community Services about the revised Terms of Reference of the Eastern Region Local Government Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Forum.
DECISION: That Council endorse the revised Terms of Reference.
C-0409.2 Bondi United Rugby League Football Club – Renewal of License to use Hugh Bamford Reserve (A04/1282)
Report dated 31 August 2004 from the Director, Beach Parks & Recreation Services.
RECOMMENDATION: That Council:
Crs. Davidson and Moscatt declared a non-pecuniary interest in this item.
Cr. Kanak voted against the Recommendation.
C-0409.3 Bourke Lane, Queens Park – "No Parking" Restrictions in Laneway (A03/0595)
This matter was last considered by the Waverley Traffic Committee at its meeting held on 12 August 2004. At that meeting the Committee decided that "No Parking 8AM – 6PM" restrictions be installed on southern side of Bourke Lane, along the rear of No.2 to No.8 Arnold Street, Queens Park.
Subsequently, a ‘save and except’ for this item was submitted to the General Manager by Crs. Wakefield and Strewe in accordance with Council guidelines. The matter was referred to this meeting for Council’s consideration.
The reason provided for the ‘save and except’ was as follows:
That Council develop a more general policy for the implementation or otherwise of No Parking restrictions in laneways in Waverley LGA.
DECISION: That Council:
C-0409.4 Australia Post – "Mail Zone" and Relocation of Bondi Junction PostShop (A03/0836)
This matter was last considered by the Waverley Traffic Committee at its meeting held on 12 August 2004. At that meeting the Committee decided to defer the matter to this meeting to allow Council to consider details of Australia Post’s planned operations in Bondi Junction.
Report dated 30 August 2004 from the Director, Corporate and Technical Services regarding Australia Post’s request for a "Mail Zone" in Bondi Junction and planned operations in the whole of Bondi Junction.
A copy of the report considered by the Traffic Committee at its meeting held on 12 August 2004 was attached.
